ATHLETIC THERAPIST
Kate pursued Athletic Therapy after growing up playing sports and became interested in the field after seeing a wide range of injuries and how they could be managed. She worked 3 years with AAA hockey as university placement before spending 5 years in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League. Since Kate has transitioned to clinical work 3.5 years ago, she stays involved in sports by spending time working for a high school hockey team in the evenings. During her time in hockey, she has seen a variety of injuries and has gotten to channel her creativity with therapeutic rehabilitation, manual therapy techniques, exercise, and taping and bracing, as well as utilizing her first responder skills. Growing up on a farm, she always loved being outside and decided to recently take up golf as a summer activity. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family (as well as her dog), going to the gym, and exploring the outdoors while camping!
